Educating compassionate and competitive horsemen and women
Audrie was introduced into the horse world at the young age of 5 at a family friend’s ranch. She quickly became a horse crazy girl and turned that obsession into a lifelong passion and career.
At 8 years old Audrie took her first English riding lesson at Nadir Riding Academy in Mesa, AZ. It was there she would buy her first pony and compete in the Pony hunters and Jumpers earning top placings at local and rated shows as well as several top ten year end division awards.
Moving on from ponies Audrie would step into the Children’s Jumper ring on a fast and competitive Thoroughbred gelding. She would also ride sale and training horses in the Hunter, Equitation and Jumper rings.
When her family moved to Northern CA in 2003 Audrie began riding with Patti Ball of Hunterville Stables. Through Patti’s instruction Audrie gained invaluable knowledge of proper equitation and successfully competed in all three rings until she took a break from competitive riding to explore other disciplines within in the horseworld.
During this time Audrie worked on a small cattle ranch in Auburn, CA developing young horses and working with horses with behavioral issues. She also worked with a family run breeding facility and gained knowledge in broodmare, foal and stallion handling and care. Audrie also worked as a handler and driver for a local carriage company working with a variety of Draft breeds for private hire and show.
After experiencing many other facets with in the equestrian universe Audrie decided it was time to step back into the Hunter/Jumper world. She began as a trainer for Western and English disciplines at Beach Lake stables in Sacramento. After a year at Beach Lake Audrie returned to former trainer Patti Ball were she worked as an assistant trainer and barn manager for several years. She gained experience working with top horses and riders as well as the inner workings of a large top notch training facility.
Audrie would then go on to work as barn manager and head trainer for Five Oak Farms in Orangevale, CA. Here she would take part in training horses and riders of all ages and levels. Her students and horses have seen success in all three rings. With top placings at the local and rated level, as well as top ten placings in year end awards.
In 2018 Audrie decided to officially create her own riding program and is now located at the gorgeous Rattlesnake Ridge Ranch.
